About this book
When a Kansas cyclone carries Dorothy Gale and her dog Toto to the colorful Land of Oz, she accidentally kills the Wicked Witch of the East and sets off on the yellow brick road to find the Wizard who can send her home. Along the way she befriends a Scarecrow longing for brains, a Tin Woodman wishing for a heart, and a Cowardly Lion seeking courage. Together they brave enchanted poppy fields, flying monkeys, and the terrifying Wicked Witch of the West — only to discover that the Great Oz is a fraud, and that the power to go home was always within Dorothy's reach.
