The Princess and the Goblin

Eight-year-old Princess Irene lives in a lonely mountain house, unaware that the caverns below are home to a cunning race of goblins who bear an ancient grudge against her family. Bored and curious, she discovers a hidden tower and a mysterious, magical great-great-grandmother who gives her a ring with an invisible thread for guidance. Meanwhile, the courageous young miner Curdie uncovers the goblins' sinister plots to kidnap the princess and flood the mines. When the goblins invade, Irene must use her faith in the unseen thread to rescue Curdie and together they must thwart the subterranean threat, learning that true courage and belief are the only weapons against darkness.
